Antique Georgian Turquoise Mourning Ring Dated 1795 Metal_Gold MEASURES: Height 68mm (73mm incAn exquisite antique Georgian mourning ring from the late 18th Century featuring a glass window locket in the centre preserving plaited brown hair that belonged to a loved one from long ago. It was likely made after their death as a loving tribute and is deliberately framed in a border of blue turquoise cabochons which were often associated with forget me nots and symbolised love and remembrance. The piece is crafted entirely in 18ct gold with a close
